COMPASS Live Chat: Conquering Student Loan Debt
Student loan debt (an unbelievable $1.3 trillion dollars owed) now exceeds total credit card debt, and the average college graduate has $30,000 in student loans to repay. The Federal Reserve found that 31% of borrowers are running 90 days or more late on student loan repayment, and there are now over 100,000 borrowers who have their Social Security benefits garnished for defaulted student loans (a 500% increase). Clearly, there is a crisis of student loan debt affecting many families, and the debt problems have an impact on stewardship and ability to be generous. Join us for a conversation with Darryl Dahlheimer, program director for LSS Financial Counseling, a partner of Everence, who will tell us about new repayment options, how to conquer student loan debt, and share stories of experience and hope about this challenging issue. Thursday, March 20 There's no need to pre-register for this free Live Chat. Just click on the link below on April 20 to join the Chat. https://stewardshipresources.adobeconnect.com/compasschat417/ |
